A relaxing vacation. The public area is spacious and comfortable. The rooms are standard but the view is outstanding. Good for taking walks or trips to Ronda and the white villages
Don't take hotel's dinner. Its better to go to the neighboring village. Wireless Internet free but too much hassle and Internet from lobby computer - very expensive
Stayed here several times, breakfasts superb with plenty of choice. Wonderful location with stunning mountain views. Only five minutes drive to Grazalema village where a good range of authentic bars & restaurants can be found.
As Fuerte have a policy of "children go free" don't expect the pool area to be peaceful, however overall this does not detract from the beauty of the location and is definitely worth a visit if you want to experience the real Spain.
Location was excellent, wonderful views.
There was a donkey pen and dog kennels, caged birds, pot bellied pig and fowl in an area beside the hotel that seemed in need of attention. The general upkeep was not to a standard expected from a 4 star establishment.
Great location, beautiful pool, perfect for families and especially young children. We stayed on the ground floor with a lovely tile terrace (larger than the upper floors). Room was immaculate and the beds were very comfortable. Our six-year old child enjoyed the pool, hot tub and small farm animal area (donkey, sheep, goats, pigs, etc.) There is also a footpath to the village of Grazalema and other paths that leave from the hotel. I would highly recommend for families, but not for singles or couples looking for a romantic weekend (stay in Grazalema).
Additional charges for everything, including game room. Charging for access to ping-pong paddles seems a bit ridiculous. Also, the drinks were expensive and quality of food for dinner and breakfast buffets was not very good. Next time we'll eat in Grazalema.
Great location, with magnificent views of Grazalema and surrounding cliffs, mountains and valley. Great pool.
Upon arrival the person at the reception took forever to finish her phone call before helping us. The door to the bathroom did not function properly; the door opened only after several attempts. The beds make a lot of noise when you (or your partner) shift and turn during the night which does not make for a good night's sleep. This is an affordable and rather large family hotel, which inevitably means screaming and crying children. It isn't terrible, but if you want a more quiet stay opt for a more expensive, smaller hotel.
Fantastic location. Great for famlies with 1 small child. Excellent breakfast. Good rooms. Staff very helpful and friendly. Outstanding value for money. Would strongly recommend - we booked one night and stayed 2.
Nothing. But note you are about 5 kms from Grazalema so do take the opportunity for a drink / tapas in the village before returning to the Hotel. A car is essential.
The staff were extremely polite and helpful and the rooms very clean. Previous comments regarding the evening buffet we thought were unfounded and the breakfast was very good with a wide choice.
We thought that in view of the fact there were no cafe facilities that the evening buffet could be served before 8.00pm
Perfect location to visit some of the nost attractive white villages/towns of Andalucia. The hotel itself justifies its 4-star grading - clean and comfortable rooms and a rich buffet breakfast. Would return there gladly!
Can't thing of anything. Maybe a heated swimming pool for off-season, but that would be quibbling.
Very friendly staff , especial reception.Good selection breakfast, very family friendly or for a week-end break
We loved the exceptional food, and the helpful staff. The setting and cleanliness were also valuable. It was nestled in a very lovely environment.
very nice modern hotel with splendid location in mountains, after arriving we so much liked that want stay another night, but we needed Internet and this was problem here
Internet connection so slow, that useless
Beautiful location. Very nice rooms and pleasant, friendly staff. Free wifi was very welcome
only a small complaint there was only one english tv channel as opposed to 4 or 5 french and german channels and the english language channel was some sort of boring russian news channel
What I liked most was the location in the mountains, the view and the swimming pool area.
An excellent hotel in stunning scenery. Room was very comfortable and patio doors led out onto a balcony area with views across to the village of Grazalema. The receptionist Ana Franco was excellent providing local knowledge and helpfulness. Buffet breakfast was very good. We did not eat at the hotel in the evening prefering to go into Grazalema (a 5 minute car ride) where there were some good places to eat to suit all budgets. Overall a good two night break with a first class rate through bookings.com
Only a small niggle was that although the beds were comfortable they had a plastic undersheet which when you turned over in bed made a lot of noise.
The price and beautiful location perfect for touring
The evening buffet on the Saturday night was fantastic, plenty of choice infact had never tasted such wonderful king prawns, cold meats and veal. But returning on the Tuesday night we paid the same price and was very disappointed in choice only pork or fish, and only really a salad bar for a starter, would recommend to try the buffet on the Saturday night only as this is Gourmet evening. Also be prepared for lots of children running around as this is a family hotel, but for the price we paid for the room and breakfast we certainly could not complain a real gem infact
